2 Star - Noisy and overpriced

We stayed at this campground in the summer of 2010 and two issues kept us up most of the night and early the next morning. Being situated right on the #1 highway outside Golden, on a steep hill, large trucks were coming down the hill using loud engine brakes, 24 hrs a day. Also, this part of the highway is undergoing an extensive facelift with a lot of construction going on, that brings noise and dust all day and early in the morning. I agree that the campground has not been well maintained over the years, but it was nice to have free showers. Expensive campground for what you get.

3.5 Star - Pretty Decent

Lots of room to maneuver with a 30' 5th wheel. Used to be a KOA site, but is showing the wear of the years. Didn't find the store very well stocked, but town is a very short drive away. Internet wasn't working. Free big screen tv next to laundry room.
