1.5 Star - embarrassing place - try somewhere else first :)

The place is NOT what it looks like online. If you love the highway right beside you, go here. - They overcharge you for EVERYTHING. To ride the gocarts they have is $20 and UP for 30 mins. - The pool was small and murky. The only thing that was good about it was the pool. - The staff were very young, totally uninterested in being there or even having a summer job and just rode around on their golf carts all day. - The mini putt is TINY and costs upwards of $15 per person for one game. - The activities for kids are okay but when we visited on a Friday, they had a school bus arrive of 70+ Boys & Girls club members who took over the entire activities 'barn' so people that actually paid to stay at the campsite couldn't join in. Those kids were bullying other campers children and were overcrowding the pool (the only good feature about the place). - When we arrived, we wanted to make sandwiches for lunch - they have NO food other than candy, uncooked hot dogs and chocolate bars in the store - you had to drive far into Bradford to get anything else. The store was large but totally stocked with just Yogi Bear Jellystone paraphernalia & souvenirs (stuffed animals, etc.). - The sites were not nice looking. - The only part that was nice was the pool and the washrooms which had air conditioning and nice showers. Other than that we would not recommend anyone coming here. - The sites are VERY close together, no privacy whatsoever - maybe 3 feet between each camper/trailer. No trees. No shade. The place is huge but they've decided to put big wood piles at the end of the road with tarps over them instead of spacing out the campsites to provide some privacy. It's ridiculous how tiny the place is when you actually see it. It fits a large number of campers, but in very cramped, closed quarters. - Needless to say we left after ONE day and had our other 2 days refunded. - We are a family with 3 children ages 2 to 10 yrs old and they did not enjoy themselves - so if children don't have fun, what's the point of having a place like this mentioned in every Toronto-GTA area coupon magazine? It's a total ripoff! They kept bothering us to buy tickets to Canada's Wonderland from them. If we wanted to go to Wonderland we would have - we came to have family memories and camp!

4 Star - great for children

The park and staff was wonderful.the children had fun in the pool that was clean and the playground was perfect for my 5 yr old.my 9 yr old enjoyed the swings.the girls in the rec center were very friendly and had alot of activities to keep them entertained.no issues with any drunk people or loud campers.we stayed for 5 nights.only issue was night traffic on the highway.there were other sites that you couldn't here trafic but we wanted to be close to playground and pool.already booked for next year.
